Winona ORC Industries, Inc. (WORC) is a
nonprofit organization located in Winona,
MN, founded in 1975. WORC
provides work and learning opportunities for individuals with special
needs. Annually the organization will touch the lives of over 370
people with special needs in southeastern Minnesota, and it has grown to employ a
census of 275 individuals on any given day. Acceptance by the
community and securing funding has been keys to Winona ORC’s
continuing growth and success. Today WORC operates an expanded modern
production facility on Winona’s east
side, as well a branch operation in Trempealeau County.
The variety and degree of special needs of WORC clients have increased
dramatically over the years. As a result, WORC serves people with many
different special needs and often with multiple special needs from Winona,
Houston, Fillmore, Olmstead, Trempealeau and Wabasha counties.
